Global Support Engineer £25K p.a.
We are assisting a leading specialist electronics engineering company with their search for a Support Engineer.
Providing technical support via telephone and remote access to the engineering team.
4th line technical support to all internal customers.
Deliver technical and engineering information and updates to the team.
Working closely with the testing and software engineering teams to provide resolutions and feedback on issues.
Replicate software bugs to assist in resolution
Work with product management team to test new software features.
Investigating, troubleshooting and fault finding complex software and hardware support cases
Contribute to the testing of IP cameras, encoders and other technologies.
Working with the Projects and Field Service teams to ensure that quality information is handed over to the Helpdesk team
Providing support to Field Service Engineers
Excellent customer service skills in all forms of communication
Level headed, able to work under pressure
Strong time management skills
Analytical mind, able to use own initiative to troubleshoot and problem solve
Good planning and organisational skills
Able to work as part of a team
Proven experience in an IT related CCTV/SMS/PSIM support role ideally within development
Knowledge of IP video systems and CCTV installation
Microsoft qualifications (MCSA, MCSE MCITP)
Database knowledge (DB2, SQL)
IP Networking (IP addressing, sub netting, routing, TCP,UDP, multicast)
Experience of working in a 2nd or 3rd line technical support environment
Root cause analysis
Experience of electronics/technology industries
