Senior Contract Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contract Manager due to continued growth in our clients roofing business, who are members of NFRC, Constructionline, CHAS and hold 14001 & 18001

Job Details...

£35-45K p.a.

28 days holiday (incl bank holidays) + pension + expenses

Contract manager Job role involves:

Good communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure good customer service and care

Carry out detailed site surveys for projects with a good knowledge of current building regulations in respect of ventilation / cold bridging

Must be able to take off dimensions from drawings

Log any variations to the contract with associated costs for the works using excel / word

Manage projects from inception through to completion

1. Risk Assessments & Method Statements ensuring strict compliance to Health and Safety

2. Ordering plant & materials and resourcing / allocation of labour ensuring good quality of work is maintained throughout the project

3. Management of the contract to ensure that budget costs are met on time and on target

Close active supervision of all employee and sub contract staff to adhering to company and site safety policies and procedures.

Manages sub-contractors by monitoring and controlling performance to key business objectives.

Meet operational standards by contributing construction information to productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements.

Meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions; providing non-project annual operating and capital budget information.

Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors.

Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases; obtaining approvals from buyers.

Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
