I have spent 15 years in recruitment at home and overseas, which has provided me with a breadth of knowledge to equip me with the ability to help workers achieve their chosen career path. I love Ongo’s offering as a champion of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. The people here live the vision and are the best bunch of colleagues I have worked with.

Recruitment allows me to make a real difference in one of the most important aspects of people’s lives – their careers and their businesses. With Ongo Recruitment, we are not just any recruitment agency, we are an agency that puts its people, community, and local businesses at the heart of everything that it does

I thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. I’m motivated by variety, new challenges, and the opportunity to meet and work with different people every day. What I value most about my role is knowing that the work I do can genuinely make a positive difference in someone’s life.
Starting my journey as an apprentice gave me first-hand experience of what it feels like to learn, grow, and build confidence in a new role. As my career has progressed, I’ve been proud to move into a position where I can now support and guide others through their own journeys. Being able to share my experience and help others develop is incredibly rewarding, especially when I see them progressing towards a bright and successful future.
Working at Ongo is especially meaningful to me because of the strong sense of community and teamwork. It’s inspiring to be part of an organisation where people truly come together, support one another, and strive to make a real difference.

As an Apprenticeship Coach, I’m passionate about supporting learners to grow in confidence, develop their skills, and achieve their goals. I thrive in a varied role where I can work closely with individuals and employers, providing guidance, structure, and encouragement throughout the apprenticeship journey.
With over eight years’ experience in administration and learner support – including more than six years coordinating placements – I bring a highly organised and proactive approach to progress reviews, compliance, and employer liaison. I’m committed to helping learners overcome barriers, stay on track, and successfully progress in their careers.
Seeing apprentices build confidence and move towards a positive future is what makes my role so rewarding.

Hi I’m Lisa, I’m the Project lead for Proud to Care, the focus on the project is to get people back into the care sector. The thing I enjoy most about my role is meeting different people and taking them through the PTC journey, and then securing them a position with a provider.

I enjoy working in recruitment as it’s a fast paced environment and every day is different. I enjoy working with people and giving them an opportunity to get back into the work environment. Recruitment can sometimes be challenging, but that’s what I love about it and helping to support vulnerable people in society gives me a real sense of self worth.

Working in recruitment is a fast paced environment and no two days are the same. I work on the personal support assistant desk which is very busy and can sometimes be challenging. It is extremely rewarding knowing we have made a difference every day to vulnerable people in our community by providing support for them.
