We are supporting a leading structural steel specialist with the recruitment of experienced Fabricators/Welders to join their expanding team in Scunthorpe. Our client is an established expert in structural steel, delivering high‑quality work across a wide range of sectors including commercial buildings, energy and defence projects, bridges, and multi‑storey car parks. Shift Options

  • Position 1: Monday-Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm - £14.50 per hour

  • Position 2: Monday-Thursday, 10:00am–8:00pm - £15.50 per hour

About the Role

This role is offered on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis for the right candidate.

Due to ongoing expansion, our client is adding skilled Fabricators/Welders to support increased demand. You’ll be joining a supportive, well‑established team where your skills are valued, your development is encouraged, and your work directly contributes to major UK infrastructure and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • High‑quality MIG welding in line with technical drawings and specifications

  • Safe and efficient operation of welding equipment

  • Inspection and testing of welds to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and a safe working environment

  • Working collaboratively to meet production targets

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years’ MIG fabrication/welding experience

  • Steel industry background (essential)

  • Ability to read engineering drawings (essential)

  • Confident using measuring equipment

  • Overhead crane experience (desirable)

  • Forklift/side loader experience (desirable)

  • Strong communication skills and excellent timekeeping

  • Ability to work independently with a positive attitude
