Salary: £14.35 per hour
Hours: 45 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
Contract Type: Full‑time, Temp‑to‑Perm
Location: Scunthorpe
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Loading Shovel Driver to join a busy recycling and waste management site in Scunthorpe. This role suits experienced drivers, but the client is also open to newly qualified individuals who hold the relevant licence and are keen to develop their skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently
- Moving, loading, and stockpiling recyclable materials
- Feeding machinery and supporting yard operations
- Loading and unloading vehicles in line with site procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following all health & safety protocols
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues
- Supporting general yard duties as required
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Loading Shovel Driver, or newly licensed operators looking to start in the industry
- Loading Shovel licence (e.g., NPORS/CPCS)
- Good understanding of health & safety in a yard or industrial environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team
