Medical Receptionist (Scotter)
Temporary to Permanent | Part Time | £12.71 per hour
Location: Scotter (with occasional cover in Kirton)

Are you friendly, organised, and passionate about helping people? We’re looking for a Medical Receptionist to join a busy, welcoming GP practice. This is a brilliant temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a patient‑focused environment and wants to make a real difference every day.
Working Hours
- Monday: Day Off
- Tuesday: 8.30am – 1.00pm (4.5 hours)
- Wednesday: 1.30pm – 6.00pm (4.5 hours)
- Thursday: 8.00am – 1.00pm (5 hours)
- Friday: 8.00am – 6.00pm (9.5 hours, 30‑min lunch)
Total: 23.5 hours per week
Role Overview
As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll be the friendly face of the practice. You’ll help keep the reception area running smoothly, support clinical staff, and ensure patients receive the right help at the right time - all with professionalism, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the practice appointment system
- Process appointment requests via phone, in person, and online
- Answer and direct calls promptly and professionally
- Signpost patients to the correct services
- Act as a communication link between patients, clinicians, and external providers
- Provide general administrative support to the wider team
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- Friendly, approachable, and patient‑focused attitude
- Flexibility to occasionally travel to Kirton
- Availability to start immediately
