Are you looking for flexible work in a rewarding environment where you can make a real difference? We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join our bank team in Winterton.

Working within a welcoming care and community setting, you'll help prepare and serve meals, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and contribute to a positive experience for residents, visitors and café customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and serving of meals, snacks and refreshments
  • Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining environment
  • Support stock rotation, temperature checks and food safety procedures
  • Handle cash transactions and provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure all equipment is used and stored safely
  • Work as part of a friendly team to deliver a high-quality catering service

What We're Looking For

  • Previous catering, kitchen or food service experience is desirable
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A flexible and dependable approach to work
  • Understanding of customer service and food hygiene standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • An Enhanced DBS check issued within the last 12 months, or registration on the DBS Update Service
  • Applicants must be willing to undertake a new Enhanced DBS check if required

Essential Knowledge & Awareness

Applicants should have knowledge of, or be willing to undertake training in:

  • Food Hygiene and Food Safety Regulations
  • Health & Safety procedures within a catering environment
  • COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations
  • Safe use and storage of kitchen equipment and cleaning materials
  • Manual handling and safe working practices
  • Understanding of dietary requirements and special nutrition needs
  • Maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards
