We are recruiting on behalf of The Arc, Westcliff, Scunthorpe, for enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Workers to join their team on a bank basis. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work additional hours as required, supporting a variety of youth activities, events, and programmes.

The Role
As a Youth Worker, you will work alongside the Westcliff Youth Mentor to deliver engaging activities and provide positive support to young people within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of youth events, activities, and community programmes.
- Encourage young people to participate, develop new skills, and build confidence.
- Foster positive relationships and provide guidance and support where needed.
- Promote an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Help identify and respond to the needs, interests, and aspirations of young people.
- Act as a positive role model, inspiring young people to achieve their potential.
About You
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, approachable, and genuinely committed to supporting young people.
You will ideally have:
- Experience working with children and young people aged 8 to 18.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A positive, patient, and encouraging approach.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by young people today.
- Flexibility to work on a bank basis and support a range of activities and events.
- A genuine passion for making a difference within the local community.
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check (required for this role).
- Experience supporting children or young people in a professional, voluntary, or educational setting.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
