Carers Week

We are helping to put carers on the map this Carers Week with a huge recruitment drive.

Carers Week takes place this year between 10-16 June 2024, and aims to raise awareness of what is means to be a carer and celebrate what they do for others, as well as increasing their visibility among decision makers, services, employers, communities and businesses.

We are proud to champion the hugely important role that carers play in the lives of those who need them most. We work with local organisations to provide opportunities for people to work in care and make a difference.

Our Proud to Care programme features a free, flexible course to equip people with some of the necessary skills to work in the care sector, including a certificate in the Safe Handling of Medication, as well as opportunities to shadow experienced care workers. There are also other benefits to joining the programme, including fully funded childcare from a list of Osted registered providers.

And, as recruitment experts with strong links to local care providers, we can help to find the right placement at the end of the course too.

Lisa Breslin, Proud to Care Project Coordinator said: “This project is a fantastic way to help people get into work and improve care services across the region.

“We want to attract more candidates and showcase the great opportunities available locally, championing the hugely important role care workers play in our communities.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you them all, they make such a massive difference to other people’s lives, and we’re delighted to celebrate them as part of this national campaign.

“If you’d like to know more about what our team can offer or help you with, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.”
