Temporary Corporate Cleaner

Job Title: Corporate Cleaner (temporary to end December 2025)

Monday to Friday 5pm to 7.30pm

Overall Purpose of Job

To provide a high quality and customer focused cleaning service to Ongo Corporate Buildings.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure the cleanliness, security and safety of areas to an agreed standard and frequency, following the cleaning specification and direction of the Empty Homes Co ordinator. This includes: 

• Cleaning of Ongo Corporate Buildings
• Sweeping , litter-picking, bin disinfecting and emptying bins
• Mopping / vacuuming of floors, stairs, landings and walkways, work-surfaces.
• Removal of ingrained dirt from all surfaces, including deep cleaning if required.

              Replenishment of toilet rolls, hand towels & hand soap

Ensure there are no hazards in communal areas within Ongo Corporate Buildings, take immediate action to remove hazards and report to the cleaning supervisor.

Comply with COSHH and risk assessments, before use of chemical or activity, using correct chemicals and other products and maintaining accurate records.

To ensure that all internal communal areas are kept free from rubbish.

Knowledge, Skill & Experience Required

• Health & Safety awareness
• COSHH awareness
• Experience of commercial cleaning or other relevant work area.
• Ability to organise and plan own workload/time management skills
• Flexibility
• Physically fit
• Good communication skills – written and verbal
• Committed to quality customer service
• Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
• Ability to work flexibly

Basic experience of ICT systems, including Microsoft email  - would be desirable

Report any defects, repairs in line with ongo processes.   

Ensure adequate levels of stock of cleaning materials are maintained.

Maintain accurate records including hours worked.

Act as a representative of Ongo at all times, maintaining a professional and customer focussed approach to all customers and stakeholders, whilst following relevant policies and procedures.
